Our shop is at 7-8 York Place, Brighton BN1 4GU.
We're situated on The Level, opposite St. Peter's Church, less than five minutes walk from the main station.
Opening Hours
We are open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
The Proprietors
Chris Balchin was an aircraft engineer for 12 years. He has raced cars for 12 years and still enjoys building his own cars. After leaving the aircraft industry he was an engineer for a semi-conductor company for a further 16 years. In his spare time Chris loves cross-country mountain biking and driving his Caterham 7.
Olympic silver medallist Richard Holkham handles the wheel building at Baker Street Bikes. His cycling credits include a Tandem National win and Suisse Normande Time Trial win, as well as success road racing in many countries abroad. After a road accident which forced his early retirement from the Fire Brigade, Richard worked for 10 years at M & J's, the well-known road racing shop in Brighton, until 1995. Years of experience and a personal interest in his craft has made Richard an absolute perfectionist in his field.
